The
company was founded in the mid 80's by Constantine Antonopoulos. He
was a gifted winemaker with a rich family vinting tradition and deep
knowledge of the varieties in Peloponnesos, Greece's "wine garden".
He selected a vineyard near Patras, the Vassiliko estate, that could
only reflect his vision. |

44
hectares with northwest orientation to temper the climate, planted
with Greek as well as international grape varieties like Chardonnay
and Lagorthi, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Volitsa. |
The
winery is equipped with steel fermentation tanks with refrigeration
system and the underground cellars are filled with oak casks from
Nevers and Allier. The aim is to help the wines express the most of
their character. |

Unique
expressions of their respective terroirs, the Antonopoulos wineries
are examples of the potential the Greek wines have. Using not only
Greek varieties we are striving for better and better wines to stand
out as a class of their own. |
